First prototypes
We tested dozens of wood cuts, weights and edge profiles to create blocks that throw and land with consistency.
Origin story
Kubb Supply grew from a hands-on experiment among friends into a modern brand for people who value physical play and beautiful objects.
A game with roots
Kubb traces its roots to the Swedish island of Gotland, where it has been played on village greens for generations.
Often called Viking chess, it's a game of aim, strategy and nerve. Today it's played at clubs, festivals and championships around the world, and in more and more backyards every summer.
How we got here
We tested dozens of wood cuts, weights and edge profiles to create blocks that throw and land with consistency.
After field testing in sun and rain, we built a finish stack that protects the grain while keeping a premium texture.
Clubs, event teams and families wanted custom versions, pushing us to offer scalable packages and branding options.
Today we make tailored wood game sets designed for modern spaces where people gather, compete and connect.
“Great recreational products should perform like equipment and feel like design objects.”
Our philosophy
Every set is designed to be played hard and left out on display, then handed down when the next generation is ready to throw.
